La Jolla CA Bird Rock's Contruction Comes to a Finish

Bird Rock Renovations of La Jolla CA

Bird Rock Construction

Construction began on the first two roundabouts being added to Bird Rock as part of the Barratt American Seahaus development project in November, 2007. Using developer fees from La Jolla, bicycle grants and a $2 million "Smart Growth" competitive grant we won from the San Diego Association of Governments, the construction project was fully funded.

The specified goals for the renovation include replacement of sewer main and laterals replacement on the 5600 and 5700 blocks of the boulevard and sewer main replacement in Forward Street, from La Jolla Hermosa to Beaumont and in La Jolla Mesa near Linda Rosa and Colima, the La Jolla Hermosa/Forward traffic circle is also in this package, and sewer main replacement on La Jolla Mesa, just south of Colima to just north of Linda Rosa, and on Colima, from Taft to La Jolla Mesa.

The recent construction of three additional roundabouts and other improvements along La Jolla Boulevard and surrounding surface streets has been perhaps the most intrusive component of the construction process as a whole with its disrupting of traffic along La Jolla Boulevard throughout recent months.

Should I Stage My Vacant La Jolla Home?

Should I stage my vacant La Jolla Home?
Your vacant La Jolla home is still on the market for sale and you are trying to decide if you should stage it. Your La Jolla Realtor has suggested staging your La Jolla home. Now you are trying to decide if it is worth it or not to invest in home staging.

You are not alone. We face this regularly with our clients who are selling a vacant La Jolla home. We think that it's one of the best investments they could possibly make in what is now widely considered to be a highly competitive "buyers market" in La Jolla.

Come to the Open Air Market at La Jolla Elementary on Sunday!

La Jolla Elementary Open Aire Market

A favorite meeting place in La Jolla is at the La Jolla Elementary School Open Aire Market happens every Sunday 9:00am 1:00pm.  This is a great opportunity for you to get together with your La Jolla Neighbors, perhaps pick up a special gift by one of the many artisans, select flowers for your La Jolla home, and some fresh fruits or vegetables for the week.

Farm Bureau of San Diego and California Federation of Farmers Markets are two great resources to Markets and purchasing produce from local San Diego area farmers.

The La Jolla Elementary Open Aire Market began in 1996 by Sherry Ahern as a way to raise funds for a library for La Jolla Elementary School. The first La Jolla Elementary Open Aire Market was held at La Jolla Elementary School on October 25, 1998 with 14 farmers and one artisan.

Since the first Market, the La Jolla Elementary Open Aire Market  has grown to over 75 vendors that present their selection fruits, vegetables, flowers and gourmet foods. There is always a selection of Artisans selling their creations and a Food Court offering a variety of food and refreshments.
