There are approximately 8,000 residents of La Jolla and a very select few live in La Jolla Farms. La Jolla Farms was subdivided in the 1950s, having most of the homes in La Jolla Farms built in the 70s & 80s. There are 150 homes in La Jolla Farms. La Jolla Farms is located on the northern boundary of La Jolla adjacent to Torrey Pines State Park, Torrey Pines Golf Course (home to the Buick International) and the University of California San Diego.
