There are 270 properties for sale in the community, a drop from the 330 listings in January 2009. This only goes to show that La Jolla luxury homes are definitely selling like pancakes. Moreover, the average listing price for these houses are $ 3,525,635 in January 2010 against the $ 3,350,790 in January 2009, suggesting that even though there is a small increase in price, people are still very eager to have their own La Jolla luxury home.
Another sign that the La Jolla luxury homes are in demand right now is that there are only 39 new listing for January 2010 as compared with the 52 new listings in January 2009. There were also 11 and 13 sold listings in January 2010 and 2009, respectively.
Finally, and probably the reason why La Jolla luxury homes are selling is the drop in price from $2,272,577 in January 2009 to $1,775,682 in January 2010.
