Fishing in La Jolla

Fishing in La Jolla

Whether you are an experienced angler or a novice fisherman, fishing in the waters off La Jolla Shores will be a treat.  If you choose to use a professional fishing guide service or rent a kayak and do it yourself you will not be disappointed.  You can fish for Barracuda, Calico, Albacore, Yellowfin Tuna, White Sea Bass or any number of other types of fish.

La Jolla Kayak Fishing can provide you with all the equipment you need if you choose to fish from a kayak.  Including instruction and guide service.  They offer private lessons and small group sessions.  If you happen to not be interested in fishing (shame on you), La Jolla Kayak Fishing also conducts tours off the La Jolla coast and offers whale watching during migration season.

The La Jolla Kelp beds are similar to that of Ensenada fishing area, Pacific Ocean coast, Baja California and Mexico.  Principle sportfishing areas include La Jolla Canyon and the heavy kelp beds leading south to Mission Bay.
