This individual will create, validate and apply image-based assay read-outs and analyze algorithms for high-throughput microscopy screens. Additional responsibilities include the management of image data of large screens, as well as implementing feature selection and classification methods, and developing and applying SOP's for image-based assay read-outs.
Required Skills:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or a related field is required. A Master's degree is preferred. The successful candidate will have 2-5 years of previous experience with image processing, data mining, and data management, as well as programming skills. Previous experience in the area of high-content image analysis, high-content image data management, high-throughput microscopy and/or classification methods is advantageous, as is an understanding and familiarity with a variety of image processing tools. The ability to exercise independent judgment regarding the interpretation and optimization of data is essential. The successful candidate must have the ability to work independently, and manage multiple projects in a rapidly changing, deadline-driven environment. Must be a team player and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Burnham Institute for Medical Research, an independent, non-profit, public-benefit basic research organization, located in La Jolla, California, is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for the Institute's Finance Department.Responsibilities include processing and filing approved invoices resulting from POs, check requests, wire transfers and company Purchase cards. Specialist will resolve problem invoices with vendors, or with the purchasing department, to ensure timely payments, and review account coding and authorization for proper distribution before processing. Specialist will also maintain vendor files, 1099 and 1042-S database for accurate IRS transmittal and mailings to individuals. Additional duties include making necessary journal entries, reclassifications, accruals and following up on inquiries in a timely manner.
Requirements: Minimum high school diploma or equivalency and three years accounts payable experience is required. The successful candidate will have strong problem solving, analytical, and time management skills, as well as possess outstanding customer service, attention to detail and verbal communication skills. I have a Haier Wine Fridge (with an interior light) that will store about 18-24 bottles of wine. We have used it for less than a year and now don't need it anymore. It works great! We stored our red wine in it and the thermostat is set to 57 degrees. It is black with a brownish/black tinted glass door to showcase the wine inside. It is about 3 feet high by 1.5 feet wide. Drum, Barrel, 30 Gallon white / opaque plastic, Sealed top, NOT open top drums. With 2 threaded caps. About 29" tall x 19" wide. Weight 13 lbs. Recently new. They contained water soluble liquid soap or polish which you can hose out. 30 gallon drums are $30 each, Shown in top photos. 4 or 5 available.I also have two 15 gallon drums with both threaded caps for $25 each, and 5 that are missing the large threaded cap, 5 for $100. Shown in bottom photos.
The plastic drums are SEALED CLOSED top. These are NOT open top removable lids, The entire top does NOT come off, only the threaded caps come out, but you can cut the entire top off with a saw, if you need it to be open.
