Children's Bedrooms in your La Jolla Home

Some Tips and Tricks for your Child's Bedroom

When you bring your new baby home to your La Jolla luxury home for the first time, you want everything to be perfect.

You may have a room completely dedicated to the nursery for your new baby.  You might choose soft pastels or bright stimulating colors, cute fuzzy little bunnies or bright, bold cartoon characters.  As your little one growns, so will the requirements of their La Jolla Bedroom.

It is a well known fact that babies grow very quickly.  They turn into toddlers before your very eyes.  Now the room will need to be transformed again.

Kidsroom2.jpgDid you purchase a crib that can transform into a toddler bed? These can be a wise investment.  These types of beds are easy to transform and help your little one with the transition from crib to bed.  The next qustion you should ask yourself is; am I planning on having more chilren?

If so, you now need a place to store all of the clothing that your baby has outgrown.  There are many ways to create storage areas.  Under the bed storage is a great idea and will save you tons of space.  You can also ad shelving to your child's closet.  Creating storage will help you maintain your sanity as well.  Items can be tucked away and you won't be tripping over them.

Another item you will need to take into consideration is the type of flooring you plan on putting in your child's La Jolla Bedroom.  Vinyl floors are a great idea since they are so easy to keep clean.  Carpets can become stained easily and also hold allergens (including dust mites).  If you do have vinyl or tile floors, non-skid rugs are a good idea.  They can reduce "noise" in the room and are machine washable.

When you are choosing window treatments for your baby's room, you should consider using shades instead of blinds.  Blinds have dangling cords and could pose a safety hazard for your child.

As your child growns and changes so do your requirements for his or her La Jolla Bedroom.  There are plenty of great ideas out there.  Most importantly, have fun with it.
